GLOBAL WARMING
Here’s a scary story for the Halloween spirit!
Fred woke up suddenly from his peaceful dreams and stretched his arms wide, letting out a long yawn. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and his feet hit the cold, slick water? Why was the floor in his second story bedroom was coated in two inches of water? Maybe a pipe burst, or there was a sudden downpour in the night and the kids left a window open, even though he always told them not to…He leaped out of bed and rushed to the window in a fluster. What he saw outside was devastating. Rain was coming down in sheets, trees were bending like rubber, and everything was gone. Cars were floating down the street, including his own, people were sitting on their roofs, and he had to get out of there. But how? He had no way of transportation, no time and there weren’t any helicopters coming as far as he could tell. Even though he had ample amounts of money and a nice house in a suburb, that was of no use to him now. So he grabbed his kids and wife and crawled onto the roof. The weather had predicted clear skies and sunny weather, not this monsoon. What happened? The answer: Global Warming
This isn’t a fantasy story. This is REAL. It’s happening now, and it won’t end unless we do something soon. Nature isn’t going to wait for humans to wake up. We have to take action fast. So try walking more often, buy a florescent light bulb, or buy a hybrid. There are endless little things that you can do,DON’T BE LAZY! What we do now will affect us for years to come. Do something about it. Or you’ll regret it. AAHHH!!

OMG, that is so scary, I’m going to buy some florescent light bulbs. I hear that they are no different from other light bulbs, except that they’re good for the environment and they last a long time.

Wow, I think I’m going to turn off all the lights and walk everywhere! I don’t want to drown in an ocean in my front yard. Let’s get on the ball and spread the word about Global Warming!
